PERFECT
1864 ULTRA PREMIUM VODKA EARNS ITS WAY INTO BIG PARTIES AT NEWPORT'S GRAND
MANSIONS
NEWPORT, RI, January 2, 2007--When you look past the Dom Perignon, which
ultra premium vodka do you expect to see behind the bartender at upscale
weddings and parties? If you are in one of the grand mansions along
this city's famed Bellevue Avenue, there's a good chance it's going
to be Peureux Perfect 1864, a new offering from France.
|
"I recommend it to wedding and event planners," explains
Mike Ritchie, a leading local wine and spirits consultant based
at Allen's Wines and Spirits in nearby Portsmouth. "It's
the first ultra premium vodka that backs up its reasons for putting
a high price on their product. |
 |
"That's
important because my customers look to me for expertise not just to
tell them which vodka sells the most. If I suggest that they give
something new a try, I want to be able to tell them what to expect
authoritatively."
Ritchie says that he is especially confident when recommending Perfect
1864 because his reasons mirror the criteria he uses when evaluating
wines. "With wines, taste is the thing," he says. "For
upscale vodkas, you mean smoothness when you say taste.
"Perfect 1864 is so smooth that customers can tell the instant
they taste it. Their first reaction virtually always is that it is
much smoother than the vodka they have been using."

It
helps that Ritchie conducts his vodka taste tests at room temperature,
as as Perfect 1864's distiller recommends. "Even people who
decide to stick with a bigger name brand agree that the other
vodkas have harsh tastes when there's no ice to mask what's in
them," he says.
So far,
about one in three party organizers that Ritchie deals with has
followed his suggestion that they offer Peureux Perfect 1864 to
their guests. "The people who say yes are the ones who like
the idea of discovering something new and different," Ritchie
says. "Perfect's taste is unmistakably smooth so they feel
confident that their friends are going to understand why they
have asked them to give it a try. I've had nothing but good feedback
from planners and hosts."

Peureux Perfect
1864 Vodka was developed by one of the oldest and most respected spirits
producers in France, Grandes Distilleries Peureux de Fougerolles. It is
distinguishable most clearly from other vodkas because of the exceptionally
high standards used to ensure the quality and consistency of its ingredients.
Each batch of Perfect 1864, for example, includes certificates attesting
that the wheat base is sourced exclusively from a soft wheat variety found
only in France's Brie Champagne region and that the water comes only from
natural springs in the Vosges Mountains near France's border with Switzerland.
Perfect 1864 has quickly become a preferred vodka in France--where it
is often called The French Vodka--since its introduction last spring and
is now in distribution in 11 countries, with the US being the latest.
The other nations where it is currently available are Holland, Luxembourg,
Belgium, Spain, Germany, Greece, Mexico, China, Finland and the French
Antilles. Canada and Japan are next.
Perfect 1864 is being rolled out strategically in the US though trend-shaping
markets such as Newport-Providence in Rhode Island and New Orleans before
being made available nationally.
Peureux Perfect 1864 Vodka is a joint venture of Grandes Distilleries
Peureux and Legacy Imports, Inc., of West Palm Beach, FL.
